Navigating a site-specific location in Catherine Hill Bay, NSW, the artist arduously carried trays of hand sized clay slabs to acquire impressions from particular surfaces and materials including wood, steel, and coal connected to the town’s defunct coal port. These artwork impressions formed part of a bigger investigation into a large-scale proposed redevelopment of the region, greatly imposing dramatic impacts upon the local community members, environment, heritage listed properties, and Indigenous sites. As a part of this project the artist completed a series of collages, interviews, sculptures, and a soundscape.
